Meet Our Coaches
Mike Newell
After 29 years of coaching tennis in 41 different countries, running the Pat Cash Tennis Academy, working with ATP/WTA players competing in all 4 Grand Slams and Directing the ATP International Headquarters Tennis Centre Mike has devoted himself to Pickleball as a player and coach!
Exposed to pickleball for the first time in 2018 at Hilton Head Island, SC, Mike has successfully completed his International Pickleball Teaching Professionals Association (IPTPA) Level 1, Level 2, Director, Certified Rating Specialist certifications and was awarded the IPTPA Master Teaching Professional designation….only the 13th awarded worldwide.
His dedication, knowledge and passion make him truly one of the best pickleball educators in the world.
Yuki Horiuchi
Yuki has completed the IPTPA Teach the Teacher Level 1 course, passed the written exam and became an IPTPA Certified Level 1 Coach in June 2019.
She has been running ECP socials, conducting private lessons assisting in group coaching and fixtures competitions. She is an avid player and competes in National, State and local tournaments.
Katy Hart
Katy is an Internationally ranked junior tennis player. She is currently focusing on her tennis training to secure full scholarship offers from US colleges.
Katy has been assisting ECP with pickleball socials, fixtures and group coaching since January 2020.
Katy competes at a strong level in pickleball fixtures and tournaments.
